Weekend cottage with patio using SolarMagic. The
solar air collector SolarMagic blows the heat from
the patio into the house. A very simple and
effective way of keeping the cottage dehumidified
and lightly heated. |

In the
principle a patio is one big solar collector.
Even in the winter it will generate a lot of
heat from the sun. This heat can be of great
value to the patio but also to the house.
The heat from the patio can keep the house
lightly heated, dry and free from mould
fungus and “weekend cottage odour”. |

The owner of a weekend cottage in Truust, Denmark
called upon SolarTronic, because she wanted
alternative ways of heating. The cottage was
electrical heated and had a south-facing patio. |

|
Suggested was a so-called “weekend cottage solution”
consisting of a heat pump air to air and a solar air
collector, SolarMagic type M70. The heat pump was
installed in the kitchen/family room and the solar
air collector was mounted on the patio.

The
combination is perfect and will reduce the power consumption
of the house with about 75 per cent. Furthermore the overall
maintenance of the house will improve significantly, as the
house now is kept free of moisture in the winter term.
